“I don’t leave anything to chance. Every move is calculated, every person is vetted, and every heart is guarded. Especially mine. Do you think you can break the code?”
Rayna
“They see the poise, but they don’t see the fire. I’m the variable Zaire never saw coming. Are you ready to see behind the mask?”
Leo
“I’m the one who keeps the chaos organized and the secrets buried deep. Zaire trusts me with the empire; you can trust me with the truth.”
Updates
Even an empire requires a moment to re-calibrate. While the manuscript is currently paused to allow for deeper focus on the Him, Them, Me series, I am already preparing for the next phase of development for The CEO’s Obsession. When I return to the drafting board, the focus will be on precision: tightening the timeline, restructuring key chapters, and evaluating the scope of the story—including the potential to expand this saga into two separate books. See the briefing log below for current status updates

“And only after that thought, only after her intellect and her courage held me captive, did I begin to take in the shape of her lips, the color of her skin, the calm intelligence in her eyes. I tried to suppress this curiosity, to control the urge to know more, to see more, but the walls I had so carefully built felt like they were about to crumble.”
[ Rayna: Ch. 2 ]
“Immaculate work, I muttered, the praise tasting like ash. I found myself wondering about Tyson. Was he pouting? Drowning himself in a bottle? Nah. Knowing him, he was likely touching himself right now, imagining me. Damn. The heat from earlier was already burning through my control, and this time, it was impossible to ignore.”

“My head fell back against the chair, letting out a slow, controlled breath—the first honest breath I’d taken in an hour. The carefully maintained tension snapped and the monster was retreating, but it was sullen. I picked up the glass she hadn’t touched and drained it in one gulp. The cool, clear liquid barely registered, a pathetic attempt to quench a thirst that had nothing to do with water.

As I slid the plates onto the table, my hands moved on autopilot, adjusting the cloth napkins over and over because I couldn’t stop thinking about the last three nights we’d spent talking about this weekend. We’d promised each other an uninterrupted forty-eight hours of just being us—no laptops, no late-night files—but that promise had died when Zaire’s message popped-up late last night while Xavier was asleep.
[ Rayna: Ch. 5 ]
“He took his time, rolling his shoulders out of his jacket and letting it drop carelessly to the floor. Next, his hands went to the hem of his shirt, pulling it up to expose the tight lines of his abdomen. The man was utterly infuriating, yet his body was a sinfully sculpted work of friction and muscle, begging to be claimed.”

“Leo, disregard my earlier instructions.” My voice was low and firm, overriding his confusion. “This project is too critical for me not to personally assess it. I will be making the trip myself, and you will accompany me as the trip liaison. It will require three full days to review the division, the site and the new projects thoroughly. Inform Ashley immediately.”
